Salford Green Party is pleased to announce that as part of the national green surge [1] we have experienced a 30% growth in members during the month of October 2014.
We are pleased to welcome our new members and volunteers to our local party. We have been working hard in Salford, and have our sights on some great achievements in the May 2015 elections.
Having selected a target candidate, Wendy Olsen for Irwell Riverside Ward [2], we are out speaking to local residents on a weekly basis. We are also confident that we will be able to stand candidates in the other 19 wards in the City.
Further to this, we are currently in the process of selecting candidates to stand in the General Election for the 3 constituencies in the Salford boundaries. This will be the first time we have stood in all of these constituencies, giving local people the chance to vote for a Green MP for the first time ever.
